Be Kind Rewind Impression

It was a Sunday Night and Audrey and I decided to go watch Be Kind Rewind. At my surprise the movie was only playing at one theater and the times were all 4 hours apart. This is one of the few movies that I was looking forward to in 2007. When it wasn’t release nation wide last year I was disappointed. I really like Michel Gondry films, they all have incredible visuals with a low budget special effects feel to them. When 2008 rolled around I was hoping they would at least release it early January, but sadly the movie was released late February. Either way I got to see the movie and I was satisfied with the results. This movie is very thought provoking and capturing your imagination. It’s a touching story about people coming together and creating something they love, Movies. From the opening scene to the last scene, you can see Gondry's creativity everywhere. This is a film that you can’t pay attention to details but rather go with the flow of the movie. Ignore reason while watching and just sit back and enjoy. It’s a Film for all the filmmakers and movie buff that really enjoys creating and watching movies. Jack Black and Mighty Mos Def do a fabulous acting like two best friends that love making movies for everyone else to watch. This film reminds me of my friends and the videos we try to make over the weekends long ago, filming long hours of just us acting goofy and showing it to our family and friends. And when its all said and done, seeing the smiles on the faces of so many people can just give you that graduated that everything you did was worth it. At the end of the film you leave with this inspiration, this feel that you just watch yourself making movies or just creating something that everyone can appreciate. Bottom line this movie is for people that can appreciate the hard work and long hours in creating films like this one.
