Watching films on opening day is always exciting. You get a huge crowed so the atmosphere will always be good. Went to this movie with my girlfriend Audrey and we sat at a spot that we can see the whole screen without any uncomfortable angles. Of course this is a family film so there were any kids sitting around us. Whenever you watch a film like this you are face with some kids acting up and you can’t really do anything about it but ignoring before they annoy you. Thankfully everyone was calm through out the movie; maybe one kid was crying, but other then that the movie experience was great.
Wall-E of course is from the great animation company Pixar. All of their films I love and personally adore, so going into this film its hard not to have high expectations. I really tried to, like all the films I see, not to have any expectations at all.
I don’t like giving spoilers or anything in that nature. What you see in commercials isn’t what you think this film is all about; it’s so much MORE. When I see a Wall-E commercial now, I look at the film at a whole different way. I just don’t see a little robot that looks like a smaller version of Johnny Five, but I see film that will speak to you on so many levels. This film has so many layers of social commentary that it’s hard to say what this film is truly about. It will have the younger viewers laughing at Wall-E clumsy ways and the more matured audience should see how this film speaks to us through Wall-E heroic actions. The way Pixar handled this film cinematography is great. They made it seem like some scenes were shot with a handy cam that at times seem unfocused. It gives the movie more a realism effect. They also add live actors into the film that made the film more personal to the audience.
Overall the movie is a great triumph in story telling and animation. Most of the environments really look real and the story might make you relies what we must do to keep our future from becoming WALL-E future.
