It occurred to me earlier today that we live in quite an amazing time. Of course we have our problems and such but we live in such an interesting place. There are so many possibilities open and out there for us. We essentially live in a time where roads no longer split two ways. In some ways this is positive for us because it allows for the flourishing of a mixing and interacting culture. We get all kinds of new innovative thoughts, designs, and ideas all as a result of being able to see other people’s point of view via facebook, tumblr, twitter, and all that other mess. We can literally take just about anything and make it ours on command. It’s all really simple and provides for ample forms of expression. I can hardly keep up with all the creativity that I see on a daily basis. (Good thing for RSS feeds.) I’m just glad that I can still be amazed by things. It is because we have all these options that we end up with such amazing results. On the other hand there are also the negatives. Stealing, misinterpretation, falsification, trash. Not everything comes out as great as it could be. Of course this is all based on opinion. Regardless theres tons of things that come out on a daily basis that don’t hit our radar. Needless to say it’s probably better that way. Somewhere in that process though the hope is that you could see all the amazingness that you may not be able to witness in real-life. If all else fails go outside. The truth is the internet and all these things pales to real life experience and interactions. Go do something you’re missing out on so much more intimate reaction when you stay on a screen all day. What ever happened to art for art sake by the way? I understand trying to make a buck but the reason it’s hard to sell art; video, music, photo, paint, and otherwise is because art is natural like water. We need it to interpret. It’s a fundamental part of everything. I don’t know. I’m just typing. Have a nice day.
